Ricoh RP604 300 mA DC/DC converter for wearable and IoT devices
Published : 03/22/2021 09:30:00
The Ricoh RP604 DC-DC converter is a product designed and engineered to provide high efficiency through the lowest supply current and an operating quiescent current of 0.3 µA. With this device, Ricoh wanted to create a product that is ideal for wearable devices, IoT applications and wireless communication modules that require low power consumption to extend battery life.
What does the RP604 offer compared to other DC/DC converters?
The RP604 DC/DC converter is ideal for use in battery-powered devices such as wearables, IoT applications and wireless sensors, as well as in energy harvesting circuits. RP604 is particularly suitable for all those applications that are primarily in sleep mode and periodically reactivate to take a measurement, transmit data, and then return to sleep mode. For these types of applications, the current consumption in sleep mode should remain as low as possible, and thanks to the low sleep current (300 nA), RP604 prolongs the battery life of the applications in which it is used.
What are the features and possible applications of the RP604 converter?
The RP604 DC/DC converter is designed for use within wearable devices, smartwatches, smartbands, low-power devices, Bluetooth® and Zigbee low-power wireless communication equipment.
