Touch Screen Display with resistive or capacitive technology
The main types of touch screens are resistive touch screen and capacitive touch screen.
Resistive touch screen monitors represent the simplest and most economical technology, made from two layers of plastic material covered with conductive material and separated by a further insulating layer. By exerting pressure, an electrical contact is generated with the underlying layer, which allows the coordinates of the contact point to be traced.
Capacitive touch screen displays, on the other hand, are more modern and innovative, with an external glass surface crossed by a uniform electric field that varies upon contact with the user's fingers. What is important is the fact that thanks to this technology it is possible to manage multi touch.
In the industrial field, touch screens are widely used in various production sectors and in the packaging, logistics, motion control and industrial automation markets.
The range of Digimax industrial touch screens that can be customized to measure
Compared to normal consumer touch screens, industrial touch screen monitors must have additional features based on the different industrial applications:
Greater resistance to impacts and wear in hostile environments such as workshops, factories and outdoor spaces;
Variable dimensions for specific needs: 5, 10, 15, 22 or 24 inch touch screen monitors...;
Capacitive or resistive touch technologies, for use in humid environments or with glove recognition;
Adjustable brightness for indoor or outdoor, high brightness touch screen from 800 to 2000 candles;
Glass for displays and cover lenses with anti-vandal technology and personalized with silk-screen printing;
USB, I2c and RS-232 touch interface for connection to specific hardware.
Rocktouch, Digimax partner in the distribution of industrial touch screen monitors, has also developed touch screen applications dedicated to the medical sector, such as the innovative PCAP capacitive technology for multi touch and the anti-bacterial treatment of industrial touch screen displays.
