Learning to recognize the codes of the Strip LED colors is important to make accurate choices about the right product to buy.

In this case, the LED strip configurator on the Digimax website helps you to filter through the vast catalogue of Colors LED strips those that meet the requirements you set.

How are the codes of the LED Strip Colors constructed?

The first letter refers to the producer, Colors precisely;

The next 4 digits refer to the type of LED. This data affects the shape of the LED.

The next letter indicates the temperature color of the LED Strips also called color hue and it's expressed in Kelvin (°K). The lower the value, the more warm (yellowish) the Strip is. Vice versa, the higher it is, the more it will tend towards blue. Usually white differs in three categories: Warm white 2700-3200°K, natural white 4000-4500°K and cold white 5700-6200°K.

The next figure refers to the number of leds every half meter. For example, if you are looking for a strip with 120 led/mt the code will be composed with the number 60. Obviously the number of LEDs affects the brightness of the LED strip and consequently on the power / consumption.

We find below the values 12 or 24: these values indicate the voltage, to be chosen according to the type of application. On the basis of this data we will then decide which power supply is in line with the type of Strip LED.

In the final part of the code we find a letter that identifies the IP code; this value is very important because it identifies the type of application for which a LED strip is suitable (indoor or outdoor).

Finally we have indicated the width of the PCB (thickness of the strip) which varies from 5mm to 15mm. This is important for the choice of the aluminium profile to match that must be able to contain the Strip.
